Temptation to sit,
and wait for nothing,
to be still, and silent,
stagnant, unmoving.

Temptation to forget,
who's walking with you,
to feel so alone,
forgetting you're not.

Temptation to tire,
grow weary, so weak,
to lose sight of strength,
to get buried so deep.

Our comfort's not lack of,
but strength in,
temptation's
dark hour.

Our hope's not relief,
but faithfulness,
and promise of
success.

Endurance comes only
when we're
willing to
find it.

So be willing,
be faithful,
fight fiercely
to win in the end.
