All of life's lost men
who wandered,
all the men whose lives
they squandered
Asked for hope,
we got a season,
where nothing made sense,
no clear reason
But a thousand light rays
that existed,
entered deep inside
and twisted
A sunrise holding promise
for us,
we learn to run before we
learn trust
But not every storm
can last forever,
there are some bonds of love
life just can't sever
and I'm holding out for a
happily ever after,
if by that you mean a love story
called laughter
seeing now only dimly,
but there, face to face,
when we realize not one drop
of hope laid to waste.
