The night is dark. No stars are shining tonight, and shadowy clouds streak the sky. A few dry leaves sweep across the pavement. The air is cool, and a soft wind, the wind before a storm, blows on my face. Crickets are chirping, but above their songs, the night is still. In the stillness, the silence is loudest. My heart is singing, listening to the silence of God.
This sounds like a long hiaku. I love it!
