There is a time for everything

A time to lose all fear of complete exposure,
to strip away all false confidence,
and fall to the ground shaking like a torn and tattered leaf.
In all my vulnerability, all my absence
of a stupid false sense of dignity
which somehow is not so dignified after all,
and I find myself before you
with nothing to hold onto.
My past is broken,
my future is empty of hope,
and you can look for yourself
to see the worthlessness of my now.
I have nothing left to trust in,
nothing left to hold onto,
nothing left to take,
nothing left to give.

All I have is you.
